Ask an Ambassador: short url ... why use it and using it on Facebook

In the Q&A today there was a question about the short URL and it's populating properly when using that as the link on Facebook.  I did a short video some time last year about it. 

The answers included some that never use the short URL, and some that didn't know what it is. So I thought for today's Ask an Ambassador Group post I 'd link to previous posts I wrote and then talk a little about what Bob told me about the photo not showing up when we're sharing a link on our Facebook page and the fact it's NOT an AR issue.  It's the software that makes the two things talk, ActiveRain and facebook.  Software by a third party. Changes made on one side or the other have left it a bit glitchy, but my work around seems to work every time for me.

Tammy, I'm so glad that this was featured.  It will make it a lot easier to post on Facebook.  I like using the short URL's because it helps me see where my views are coming from.

I have the same problem on LinkedIn sometimes. I wonder if the refresh method will work there too. I'll have to try it.

Debbie Reynolds Bob Stewart told me a while back it was not AR or Facebook, but a bridge language program between the two.  Apparently that software has not kept up with updates. Thanks for the re-blog.  Hope it helps a number of people having issues.
