Springtime in the Rockies
Needing to change my focus, I found that relaxing at one of my favorite locations with a glass of wine, listenting to the sounds of nature, and letting the sun beat down on my face on this gorgeous 70* spring day was just the ticket to lift my mood. It was definitely a Colorado Rocky Mountain High kinda day.

That was just a small portion of it, Sharon Tara. Just to show off the bird LOL Pikes Peak is just to the right, and Garden of the Gods stretches across the landscape. It's pretty incredible. Thanks!

Mimi, there are extensive studies correlating the time spent in nature with mental well-being. So glad you know how to take time to get that Rocky Mountain High naturally, with nature ( and a bit of wine). ;)

Oh, trust me. I am in a blizzard today - 60 mph gusts, UNBELIEVABLE! I think you guys are being hit worse, but some of our roads are shut down and there are accidents everywhere. I see they reopened DIA, but lots of schools up there are closed. And it's not supposed to be warm again for over a week! What's THAT about? 
Hi Mimi - That was yesterday, and what a difference 24 hours make. I've always loved Garden of the Gods - we cycled through there once at dawn and it was spectacular.
Isn't that the truth, Dick Greenberg?!! I-25 is now shut down out of Colorado Springs, DIA is closed "until further notice," I-70 East is closed - and it was 70* yesterday! Happy Spring!
Few more beautiful places than Garden of the Gods - sunrise, sunset, high noon :) Hope you don't have to be out in this!

Hi Mimi-after viewing that exquiste photo setting I now finally get what a Rocky mountain high is!
I often wonder if I hadn't grown up in Florida, Marco Giancola, if my heart would still yearn for the water. This is what a Rocky Mountain High is all about, and there is nothing more beautiful . . . except maybe lapping waves. 
Beautimous! I have always loved Colorado, Mimi. When I drove out here in '79, from Philly, I went through CO and spent several days there. I told myself, "If Oregon doesn't work out, I'm going back to Colorado." Well, gosh I'm an Oregonian through and through!
