Eons ago, in a era far, far removed from most memories, there was a species of people that used to sit in a place in their living spaces that was called a living room or den. Prominently placed in these rooms was a device called a television set. There the occupants would pay homage to this device as they gathered together and nourished their bodies with food stuffs called TV dinners that were neatly placed on things called TV trays. There the family would sit for hours, watching a variety of shows while the kids did home work and occasionally glanced at the cyclops just to see what antics Lucy was up to. They rarely moved except to get up, walk across the room to change the channel and adjust this weird frequency tuning device called rabbit ears. I really hate to think of how many bunnies lost their ears in this inhumane ritual. Nevertheless, if it was not bedtime and the kids were still in the room, it was not necessary for the adult species to stir as it was the children’s responsibility to serve as the official channel changer and adjust the poor bunny’s lost ears.
Thankfully, in this modern era, we have high speed cable that costs a king’s ransom a month. We get to watch streaming video in Hi-Def and more channels than we could ever watch if we spent 24/7/365 in front of our zillion inch flat screen! And, thank Goodness, we can flip the channels without having to get out of the comfy chair or disturbing the rug rats! Yes, today, our life is good.
And that my friends, is my 2¢’s worth for this evening.
