When you wish upon a star and you believe in dreams they can come true!
All our dreams can come true
if we have the courage to pursue them
---- Walt Disney
Where does this story begin? It is about a family who comes from the Netherlands to Pilot Point, TX to fulfill a dream. First, you need to have a passion. Then, you add love, really love what you're doing. All it takes is creating, planning, implementing, planting, designing, digging, evaluating, fighting the elements in nature to survive, maintaining the farm, having the money to make your dream become a reality, then watching something like Tulips from the Netherlands take root and produce blooms at a Tulip Farm in Pilot Point, TX to share with others from another country.
Seeing is believing! On Friday, March 25th, I had to see it for myself. After the storms we've had in North Dallas, TX, who knew Tulips could take a beating from wind, thunderstorms, tornado warnings, hail, and lightening and still come out looking so strong and beautiful! As an amateur photographer, I enjoy getting up close to look at nature.
Deep thoughts... Walking through rows of surviving Tulips, seeds were planted in my head. I thought a lot about the family who spent their life cultivating their own creativity planting Tulip Farms; and then transplanting that idea to share with the people in Texas. At the very least I could do was to capture breathtaking images of a few Tulips still standing. For more information about ordering tulips on-line, go to http://texas-tulips.com/.
So what is the secret? I have been thinking about that question all day long. These tulips are not magical or mystical. There are no tricks to make them grow. All it takes is a labor of love! But first, it's all about attitude. If you don't have a positive attitude, and all you think about is the negative, or the what ifs, how would you ever know if a dream can come true? Taking risks doesn't have to be so stressful. After all, a dream doesn't come true, unless you take risks!
Thunder! Lightening! Rain! Hail! Wind! Avoiding conflict is against human nature. A tulip will stand up to claps of thunder and rain!!! What's the real lesson learned today?
The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph --- Thomas Paine
