Home Buyers looking to buy or sell a home in the Woodbridge and Manassas area of Prince William County, Virginia this spring need to be aware of some high school boundary changes that will happen for Fall 2016.
Prince William County's 12th High School will open fall 2016. This change will affect boundaries lines and speciality programs for several schools in the area.
Many relocating buyers even some of our local residents are amazed to learn that Prince William County Specialty Programs are available to all local students in all grade levels. The Specialty Programs requires the student apply and be accepted. Once accepted the student will be allowed to attend the specialty school program in their base school or they can attend the specialty program in another school location. This is an outstanding opportunity for children in Prince William County who have a special interest in subjects such as Science, Math, Bio technology, The Arts, Information Technology just to name a few. Once accepted even transportation will be provided to the student!

The area in green is the new boundary map as you can see it's crosses through several main roads and many communities in Woodbridge, Dale City, Manassas and even yes even Nokesville. To make matters more confusing not many listing agents have not update the school information in the listings so the information on line with Redfin, Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com while helpful may not be reliable.
When a new school is opening buyers can easily get confused which school will serve the home or area they have chosen to look at.
