A 10 Days til Closing Checklist for Buyers and Sellers
Getting to closing is a huge task – it’s emotional , as well as a time period filled with lots of tasks to be accomplished in order for closing to occur successfully.

At the recent CRS Sellabration in Orlando I attended a session with Debbie Yost, where the focus was on systems to make your business run more smoothly and create the best experience for your clients.
One of the take-a-ways for me was the focus on the 10 Days to Closing...that intense time period when there is so much happening, lots of emotions, and plenty of things that need to be accomplished by sellers and buyers before closing occurs.
A terrific system to have in place for your clients’ is a 10 Days to Closing Checklist, with a list of everything that has to occur in that final time period, in chronological order (it may not quite be 10 days, depending on the process you follow in your area, and the circumstances of your transaction, but you get the idea).
Not only is this checklist a great way to keep you on track with all that needs to happen, but it also outlines the tasks your buyers or sellers need to accomplish as they march toward the closing door to make sure there is nothing uncovered. We all spend time talking to and emailing our sellers and buyers, but why not also provide a checklist to help them keep on target? And it’s another way to show you care.
You have been through this process many times, but could you put a checklist together of everything that is supposed to happen to help your clients succeed? Sure you could…try it. Your clients will appreciate it.
