Wordless Wednesday - Going to the Movies

Those were the days of crackling voices coming over the speaker...

Larry Johnston   Some day I wil get you and Evelyn Johnston  to go out to a movie

And the speaker that hung on your car window Larry Johnston 

Even today I can look in the corner of a garage and see a speaker hanging on a nail.  Somehow the last rows of a drive-in were bad for cars as all the windows would get fogged up

Larry, you definitely brought back some fun memories. The kids today don't know what they missed :)

Larry- I have fond memories of summers when my uncle would pile my cousins and me in the station wagon and go to the drive-in movies. Thank you for that.

I prefer indoors for movies.  I did go a few times as a child.  I don't like bugs much.

That brings back some memories... the whole family piled into the station wagon (what ever happened to those) with sleeping bags for the little ones (me).

Larry funny you should post this, I have been contemplating on posting about rooftop movies in Hollywood... would you believe it Beach Chairs and headsets that you pick up and drop off on the way out... does not disturb anyone in the area and Chrystal clear superb sounds...Endre

Hi Larry.  Not very many of these dinosaurs around these days.  Though, I can certainly remember going to these when I was a kid.

Larry, growing up and having drive-in theaters is something our young kids will never experience, and very sad! 

Larry I went to many a movie at local Drive-In's.

Hi Larry - I remember the drive ins.  I went with my parents to see "Psycho."

I love going to the drive in for a movie. I need to do it more often. We still have two working drive in theaters. One in Montrose and one in Delta.
