It looks like a nice home and I am sure they are looking forward to lots of visits from their grandson.

You have a warm and kind heart. A lesser person would have been angry over the time and money they wasted in marketing that home. 

The loss of some listings can turn out to be a blessing.

Sometimes the best decision is to stay planted in the roots that are the most familiar.

Hi Margaret.  I try be certain at the initial interview that the sellers really want to sell.  That said, circumstances can change -- sometimes very suddenly.  What's right for the client is our goal.  As long as the sellers listed in good faith, I am fine with their change of heart.

How awesome for them to have their grandson close by and how nice for him to have a place to chill out (when allowed!!!) with his fellow cadets when he can.

That's a great reason to lose a listing.  Maybe once he's out of the Naval Academy they will want to give it another shot.  For now, I certainly understand their want to stay.
