Keep in Touch = Future Closings

When you get a call off a sign, web site or a referral, how loQuestionsng do you stay in touch with those contacts if they don't buy or sell at that time?    With sellers thinking the market is too fast paced and they won't be able to fina replacement home or the buyers fretful their job is at risk, how long do you keep them on your database?

Some families need to think about these monumental decisions for a while before taking the plunge, and some once the decision is formulated, they act on them.

Check

Over the past several years I have had many potential buyers and sellers call wondering if was time for them, but never made that decision.     These last couple of years a few of these potential clients have moved forward and closed.    All you have to do is STAY IN TOUCH!    Keep them aware of the market conditions,  answer all of their questions and let them know you are still in the business.    They will appreciate that, and when it is a good time for them, they will call YOU!

Keep these potential clients in your database (but they are not the A+, A or even B clients, but most will eventually turn into a sale!   As soon as you stop checking in, they will find another agent and make a move right away!

Hi Joan... all I can say is that once they are in my data base they are there and communicated with  till they buy or die or sell or die or tell me to go away. And that is regardless of how they came to me.

Joan, once they are in my database, they rarely leave!  There have been a few people over the years that I chose to delete but there have been many who chose me to work with them after many months and sometimes even a few years after initial contact.

Hi Joan Cox ,  Your right about keep in touch.  We have had potential buyers find that their credit score kept them from home ownership.  Several years later, they were able to purchase their home, becaue we kept in touch.

Joan

Buyers and sellers do business at a difference pace. I stay in touch with my customers until they make a decision to do business with me.

Good luck and success.

This is very good advice. Some prospects take months and sometimes years before they take action.

Good morning Joan. You are so right, it is so important. I make a habit of calling some past clients and referral partners on a daily basis. It has served me well over the years.

Hi Joan.  I am always amazed how some Realtors just let business slide through their fingers by not staying in touch with their leads.
