Franklin Tennessee former landowner Sarah Glass Polk Dallas is a descendent of President James K. Polk. Her husband, Hugh Douglas Dallas was a direct descendent of George M. Dallas, who served as President Polk’s Vice President. Hugh Douglas Dallas built the existing white home located at the front of the Dallas Downs subdivision in 1936.
