Butterfly Survival Guide at Schmeeckle Reserve Butterflies

Many may think that it is a little early to be thinking about butterflies, after all we still have snow on the ground in much of Wisconsin.

But as any biologist will tell you, the time to plan for a healthy population of something like this is long before we see them out and about.

This is the time to think about what we will need to plant in our yard in order to feed the larvae of these butterflies as well as the plants that will attract the adult butterflies.

So join the folks at Schmeeckle this Thursday April 14, 2016 for a free workshop to learn more about what is needed.

Sounds like a wonderful opportunity to learn about creating a butterfly environment. We have already had butterflies for the past few weeks here in North Georgia. We are blessed.

I would be probably inconsolable if butterflies stopped existing. They're almost like mythical creatures. :)

Is always a good time to learn whenever you want to run your brain cells around the track a little bit. I agree, Rosemarie Heindel
