Did the title get your attention? Did you think this was going to be yet another post about the benefits of eating banana's? Or maybe a post about how I've gone banana's this past 100 days?
I started out the year knowing I had several big projects on the table. One was re-vamping the website so it's WAY MORE mobile friendly then it was. (And to think I thought I had it 'right' last year - HA). No, I did not! The site was mobile friendly...per se. After I attended a few workshops and listened intently to the experts tell me how MOST people use their phones to read just about everything online, I knew major tweaking had to be done. We're not quite half way through the process but we'll get there by the end of April. At least that is my goal. I also tweaked our enewsletter as most of our clients do read it on their phones. And I wanted to make it as easy as possible for them to do so - just like the website.
The other big project in the works is building out a specific niche market - Moon Valley Lifestyle. We're in the process of gathering lots of information about all the different neighborhoods and creating IDX searches and links. I've gotten about 10 or so posts published with about 20 or so in draft. All I can say is I'm very happy to have several assistants helping me with this project as I've been super busy with clients and selling homes. Which by the way is my 'real' job! I'm betting you can relate to that statement!
Last year I accomplished a massive 'market reports' project and I'm happy to say we've got it tweaked even better this first 100 days of 2016. It's really helped to get us ranked up with the big boys and girls and I am aiming to get even better at it in 2016.
As far as blogging at least 15 posts in month that's never been an issue for me. With so many market reports and now neighborhood posts there is little time left to write ' the good stuff'. What's the good stuff you ask? I really enjoy writing real estate specific posts whether it be for agents, home sellers, home buyers or ambassador posts. I manage to squeak a few in there a month but not nearly as many as I would prefer. I expect that once the neighborhood niche is built out I'll have more time to get back to 'good stuff'! That is my goal.
Happy Client - SOLD!
In between the above projects we've been in the process of re-branding my company back to Anna Banana - thus the new FOR SALE signs and other marketing materials. We're getting great feedback from clients and neighbors alike about the new look. Many of them have said - OMG it's so back to the way you used to do it - we love it! Others have said - it's so happy and cheerful looking and when they see a SOLD sign up it makes them smile. Trust me you can't miss my new signs! I'm loving the feedback and results.
So how did I go banana's? I have worked about 6+ weeks straight with Easter and yesterday off. I realized on Saturday that I was really REALLY tired and I couldn't figure out why. Duh? Silly Banana! Somehow I had become a temporary workaholic and that had to stop! It's far past time to bring the fun back into my business! Thus a fun, yet serious post.....success at it's best!
