There is beauty in even the ugliest listing!

foreclosure sink

Here is one of the realities of  a foreclosure listing in very poor condition. Please know that I am grateful and appreciate the listing, however, one cannot linger inside the house too long or one shall emerge wearing the lovely odor that permeates the interior, for the rest of the day.

The house is being marketed at lot value with services. It is a manufactured home with a leaky roof and vinyl siding.

The nearest beach access is a few blocks away,  lot is perfect for a new home or extensive rehab of the existing home. This house is currently listed for $70,000 in Lincoln County MLS.Buckthorn Street South Beach Oregon

Lot is level and secluded with a site-built carport behind the house with 2 shop rooms. If you are interested in learning more about this foreclosure property, please contact Barbara LePine at 41-270-6758 or send an email to coastaldigs@yahoo.com.

oregon coastMiles of uncrowded coastline.....

The beauty in this particular foreclosure is that the City of Newport is less than 10 minutes from the house. Live in the country but also be close to shopping, schools, employment, boat docks, recreation and world class entertainment at the Newport Performing Arts Center where you can catch a live Broadway style play or see the Newport Symphony.

So take a look at the ugly sink again, and tell me it's not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen.

okay, it looks a bit rough, but who wouldnt think that 70k is a great deal for a property thats not far from the beach.  I'd live there!

Barbara, no doubt about it.  The beach is a whole lot prettier than that sink!

You're absolutely right about their being beauty in some of the uglier listings. That beauty often comes from the potential.  Especially for the handy and imaginative homebuyer.

Hello Barbara ...

Wow what a great location, is the MH fixable? And how big is the lot this home is on?

Oh, my goodness, I thought for a minute that you were talking about Newport Beach in southern California, and I could not for the life of me figure out where Lincoln County is. LOL.

I have been so busy selling houses here on the coast that I have not had time to respond to everyone, my apologies! I have a minute now, so here goes!

Robert May, I would live there too! Was just there yesterday to show the house, needs to be gutted, but a good project as lots with services a few blocks from the beach will cost just as much.

Sheila Anderson, I left out a couple of the more detailed photos, which would have given the article a bit more edge! Thanks for stopping by!

Patricia Kennedy, even in the summer, that beach is lightly visited, and mostly by the locals. A hidden paradise. Comment appreciated!

Myrl Jeffcoat, I took the listing in as is condition because I see the potential. Unfortunately, it is too wet inside to safely clean it out myself without a bunny suit and respirator, (it would not improve much anyway..) so it gets shown in all of its glory.

Vegas Bob, Yes, the manufactured is fixable, but still needs to be gutted to the studs. The best thing about this home is the frame is good quality, according to contractors I have spoken with.  It is a cash only sale, will not finance.

Gary Waters,  this home is one of the best examples of location and price in our MLS. There is another one too, (which is fully financeable but double the price and has ocean view..) but I am keeping that one a secret until my buyer arrives to come look at it this weekend! :)

I would like to extend my thanks to Active Rain for giving me the platform in which to market this incredible property! Thanks again for all of your comments, I will be back again when I come up for air. Newport, Lincoln City, Toledo, Yachats, Seal Rock, Depoe Bay, Waldport and surrounding areas of Lincoln County are popular places right now. I have been busy in 2016 and expect it to continue due to increased internet presence and popularity of Oregon coastline. FYI - Oregon has one of the highest numbers of incoming new residents in the country. Properties under $300,000 are going fast, inventory is tight, we are seeing multiple offers in the lower range, hence, prices are going up.

Dirty but nice, even the homes with ten foot poles marks riddling the outside sell. Sometime it is the huff and puff and blow it down for the land, the location times 3 that the buyer oohs and ahhs Barbara Le Pine !

Evelyn, Yes, somewhere near the beach LOL!

Praful, lots of people know how to buy and renovate a home like this, the location gives it lots of upside in the future if prices rise.

Andrew, I have had lots of interest in this property, especially from out of state buyers who want to see more photos. I have some nice ones to send them!

Thanks for all of your comments, it is a pleasure to see everyone here!

Cheryl Ritchie, I agree! I think the point is emphasized by telling it like it is. I would not dream of photoshopping these pics, the cigarette butt in the sink is simply perfection.

Gary Woltal,  Not only is the beach a hop and a skip down the road, it is an uncrowded paradise, almost like having a private beach all to yourself.  Oregon State beaches are public. You can walk the sand for miles. The property is situated up the hill, just beyond the summer fog line. Remove the house and build a two story home and you might even have an ocean view through the dappled sunlight of the swaying pine tress......

Thanks for your comments!
