My website is up and running, but I'm not sure about what URL is best to generate hits. Right now it is www.briansolinsky.com - but someone told me using my name is not the best way to go. Not only that, my name is not the easiest to spell. So, I was going to go with www.bigbrisellshomes.com Can I get some feedback and/or suggestions?
Personally I wouldn't include my name at all. Here are some great posts for you to check out:

My suggestions woudl be to include keywords in your domain such as 'real estate' 'homes' and/or the city/neighborhood you are marketing your site to.
So, that being said, I don't like either of your choices. Here is a good site for you to look up domains at.
I suggest one website with several domain names that point to it. there is nothing wrong with briansolinsky.com, but who cares who you are, I want to find a home in Puyallup (where ever that is). . Consider the following:
findpuyalluphomes.com
puyallupre.com
sellpuyallup.com
puyalluprealestate.info
locatepuyalluphomes.com
I did a whois search on all of these and they are all available.
I wouldn't go with the .info domain I would stick with .com's
Here are some other suggestions
FindPuyallupRealEstate.com
PuyallupRealEstateHome(s).com
PuyallupHomeBuyers.com
All a little longer, but keyword rich which is great for the search engines.
I would always use .com
I used my name for a few years before all the SEO education. Took me forever to choose a name and I am thinking of changing. With a city spelling like Puyallup - that is tough too! So many people don't know how to spell that. I lived in Puyallup as a child -went to Ezra Meeker :)
PuyallupRealEstateNews.com - just a thought.
Jo brings up a very good point. Puyallup is a very hard word to spell.
I really like PuyallupRealEstateNews.com, especially if you are going to use a blog.
I agree that the .com is preferred, because its well...preferred. but I do think as supplemental domains a .info or .biz might work. I live in Cape Coral Fl and have toyed with the idea of a .cc just for fun
