Hi Joe,
I know we told you we had and insurance agent, but have decided not to go that way, could you please send me a referral for insurance agent? Your referral for the home inspector was outstanding. You were right, he really knows his stuff.
Please let me know if you need any other documents, as I’ll get you what you or the processor needs. Thanks for sending me her contact information as well.
When I originally got a call from Brandon, he told me that he was mortgage shopping and had been referred by his brother and sister-in-law.
I asked him what they said about me. Fortunately he said some very nice things and then went on to ask me what my interest rate would be. I love the question and here is how I answer it:
“If interest rate is the only reason you are calling me, I’m probably not the right person you want to work with”.
He then told me that the people that referred him told him to “just have you do the mortgage”. I then asked him the questions I needed answers to in order to do a pre-qualification. None of that was an issue.
I then asked him questions that he was not expecting:
1) Do you have a Realtor or do you need a referral? He told me he has a Realtor.
2) Do you have a home inspector or do you need a referral? He told me that he needed a referral.
3) Do you have an insurance agent or do you need a referral? He told me he had an insurance agent.
4) Do you have an attorney or do you need a referral. He told me he needed a referral.
5) Are you going to move yourself or do you need a referral? He told me he would handle that.
“Who else do you know that needs my help?”
