Spring is here...in spite of the winter storm we are expecting this weekend, and there is still a lot of snow on Grand Mesa. This is the time of year when I don't expect to see much in the way of new listings and sales on the mesa, but there is already real estate activity happening. Since last October there haven't been any sales or new listings to report. Now that has changed. Here's last month's report.
Keep in mind there's still over five feet of snow on Grand Mesa. That information comes from weather watcher, irrigation expert and all around good guy, Ron Shaver.
There are still seven cabins listed, but one is under contract. This is the only change in the inventory since late last year. - Listing prices start at $175,000 and go up to $329,000.
- The average listed price is $241,842. The median listed price is $250,000.
- Two cabins sold in 2015.
- If you would like to build your own custom cabin, there are five lots for sale. Prices start at $48,000 and go up to $71,900.
That's my sign in the picture from last June. Last year we had a lot of late winter snow, and there was this much snow on the ground in some places in June. The sign is being held up by a snowbank. Right now that sign is still buried in snow, and it can't be seen.
For more information on the Grand Mesa and the real estate available there, please give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you.
I've lived on Colorado's Western Slope for over 26 years. I love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about my home. As a REALTOR®, I also love to share my expertise in this area as well. If you need any real estate information for Montrose County, or Delta County, Colorado...please give me a call.
