The MLS® Home Price Index (HPI) rose 9.1% year-over-year in March
The Canadian Real Estate Association National Statistics released yesterday announced the above.
However the Home Price Index varies widely across Canada. In comparison to Greater Toronto, a single family home is much less in Ottawa and Greater Montreal. And in the Greater Moncton area, a single family home is significantly less expensive to purchase.
Greater Toronto is a vibrant metropolitan area. As are Ottawa and Greater Montreal. But for around $200,000 many find Greater Moncton very attractive. I like it. I like it a lot.
