And the example he used was one I can identify with.  I got 7 demerits when I did my Navy Boot Camp.  5 of them were because when I made my bed one morning, I had the seem on my pillow facing the wrong way.  Every 10 demerits you have do do a happy hour, however, even though I did not have 10 demerits, I could not graduate boot camp with any demerits.  So I had to do a two hour happy hour just before graduation.  And let me assure you the happy hours were not very happy :)

Kathleen Daniels - Now I understand why you're going to make your sellers follow this piece of advice! I guess I make them follow it too, at least while it is listed for sale!  : )

I totally love this and agree 100%.  Oh, and I make the bed every morning.  He's right.

I do make my bed every day.  Though I doubt pulling the covers up to hide the pillows would cut mustard in the SEAL detail.

Kathleen this is an awesome speech!  All through it him talking I could hear my Mom saying - go make your bed, it's important to do so!  And they are both right - little thinks make a big difference. Setting up the day on a good foot carries throughout the day. Love it!

I had read this somewhere else before, and it did make sense. I agree that the little things matter and if you can't do them right, then you're not going to be able to do the big things right either. Details matter!

When putting your home on the market you should absolutely make all the beds every morning. It's a small thing that makes a big difference when buyers are walking through your house. I have to admit I haven't made my bed on a daily basis in a long time. It gets made a few times a week which I'm ok with.
