I grew up on the shores of Lake Erie on the Cedar Point peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio. We lived on what is affectionately called the Chaussee aka Cedar Point Road. We were approximately one mile from the world-famous, Cedar Point Amusement Park. Living on the lake taught me early on the benefits of “location, location, location”. We spent idyllic summer days sunning, swimming, water skiing, and sailing on Lake Erie, across the street from our house and fishing off the seawall on Sandusky Bay right from our own backyard. For additional fun, our parents drove us a mile down the road to "the park". We spent winter days ice skating and ice boating on the bay.  Even as a little girl, I understood that Cedar Point was a magical place to live and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. This is the story of how a little girl grew up to love selling Great Lake Erie Homes.

As teenagers, my younger sister and I listened to the Beach Boys and began to dream of life on another coast where there was an endless summer. We imagined we could have that Lake Erie lifestyle year-round. So, after graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, we hopped into our matching Chevy Chevettes and headed out to Southern California, settling in Encinitas. There I became a REALTOR in 1989 and my sister, Jean Steinemann, continues to sell the Southern California coastal lifestyle to this day.

In 1999, my Lake Erie roots called me back to Northeastern Ohio. I earned my Ohio REALTOR designation in early 2000 and built a home within walking distance to Lake Erie in Huron, Ohio. In 2015, I sold my Huron home and downsized to a 1950s cottage near Lake Erie in beautiful Avon Lake, OH.

After 25 years of selling real estate on two coasts, my belief in the importance of “location, location, location” has never been stronger. Homes near the water sell for a premium price per square foot compared to other areas. There is a finite amount of land to be developed on or near our oceans and Great Lakes. Purchasing a home or lot in an Ohio beach community is a way to fully enjoy the many benefits of living near water while maximizing your opportunity to build personal wealth through your real estate investment. Building future wealth along with wonderful memories of life on Lake Erie is a wonderful gift to give to yourself now and a legacy for your heirs. You can’t go wrong buying a Great Lake Erie Home.

My specialty is selling the lifestyle and homes in beach communities along the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio with emphasis on the lakeshore and beach communities in Avon Lake, Bay Village, Rocky River, Huron, Vermilion, Sandusky, Port Clinton and Catawba Island. Let me introduce you to the unique charms of the Cedar Point peninsula, Old Homestead, Chaska Beach, Beachwood Cove, Mitiwanga, Ruggles Beach and Vermilion Lagoons, to name just a few. You will find homes in every price range and to suit every need.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you purchase or sell your own Great Lake Erie Home.
