Earth Week, Investing in, and Profiting from, Sustainable Forestryforest

Many think that we do our best for the environment when we ignore it, stop cutting trees and use alternative building products and digital paper.

But that is seldom the case since an ignored and unprofitable garden generally gets plowed up and used for something else.

Everytime that we see periods when forest products are low, people start bulldozing their trees and planting subdivisions and cornfields.

Fortunately when forest products are profitable, a few of those fields get planted to trees, where they will eventually become a forest again.

I found this video a while back and thought would be good for my Active Rain friends to view, especially during Earthweek and the Eve of Arborday.

It is a quick intro to a few of the things that foresters do and why they are important.

I hope that you all enjoy this, feel free to ask any questions that come up as you watch.

When you are ready to make the most of your forest, maximize the health of the trees, maximize the wildlife populations, and earn some money from your forest, call a forester at Woodland Management Service!
