Appreciate Your Service Providers

Many business professionals worked hand-in-hand with you as a partner.  Why did they do it?  Many vendors in the real estate industry really enjoy helping buyers like you.  They get great delight when they can help a family like yours move into their new home.

Thank the professionals who made your new home possible

Many service providers made the purchase of your new home possible.  Yes, they were paid, but in the real estate industry, often times they perform a lot of work without being paid.  It is nice that they closed escrow successfully and were paid.

However, for your REALTOR®, the icing on the cake is having YOU as a happy first-time homebuyer.  Your REALTOR® worked hard just so she could see you smiling with joy.  Let your REALTOR® know how much you appreciated his help.

Remember that although your REALTOR® was paid, you probably did not have to pay him a penny.  In most cases, the seller paid the buyer’s agent.  It was a bonus to you that the seller paid both real estate commissions — and isn’t that something to be grateful for?

A successful home purchase takes effort from many parties involved

You just completed a major life event that took hard work and effort from lots of folks.  Who was there for you?  Your REALTOR®, mortgage lender, escrow officer, home inspector, notary public, and others.  Consider sending these professional a thank-you card to show your appreciation.  It makes their efforts so much more worthwhile when they know it put a smile on your face.

As an agent I think we should remember to thank the others involved as well. I have a list of other vendors I recommend to clients and I appreciate them backing up my recommendation with great effort for the client.
