Oh Nuts!

Rain! Rain! Rain!

Oh Nuts!

Grey Skies Again!!!

Do you believe in signs? Imagine for a moment you're a bird. You never really have a home. All you do is hang out, fly around, look for food. This is your ritual! A bird never hesitates to pay attention to its surroundings. Its goal is to survive! If the bird never moves, its destiny is unknown! Sometimes obvious! So the bird keeps a look out! It knows when to sit still and when to soar! The bird looks to the sky for signals. It trusts its insticts! With careful watch it knows when to go.

People are like that in some ways too. Temporary housing is never certain. Landlords are unpredictable. For example, a one year lease means for the first month you're getting familiar with your temporary housing, new sounds, vibrations, squeaks, and good hiding places, like where to go in case of inclement weather! Your space is tight and with time you feel comfortable. But then, the lease is almost up and you begin to realize, you never really had 12 months all to yourself, without repairs, or that darn lock-box and Realtor, Landlord, or Property Manager showings! 12 month lease, minus the first month, less 30 - 60 days, the time it takes to lease again means you never really had a a 12 month lease without any inconveniences, did you?

If you're looking to move in Denton, Dallas, Fort Worth, Collin, Tarrant, or Rockwall Counties, let me know. But the first step is to talk to a reputable and credible lender to find out if you qualify. If that's possible, lets soar together to get you off the limb of making other people rich who collect rent for a living. You owe it to yourself to see how far you can soar to other destinations. Being a benefit to others is noble. But like a branch on a tree, it's never really stable or secure.

To reiterate - A 12 month lease means for the first month you are inconvenienced, trying to figure things out, what works and what doesn't. Then you're at the mercy to get repairs done, if they get done at all. Strangers will be poking around and asking questions. Then 30 to 60 days before the lease is up, you're inconvenienced again by showings and if you don't let people in, there are consequences. They can be costly and very inconvenient. You owe it to yourself to find out your options. Don't waste 12 months of your time without a plan of action. If I can help, please let me know! Is it time for you to soar or stay on a limb?

Patricia, what a clever and brilliant comparison. I'll choose to soar, staying on a limb just doesn't seem to be what life is about IMHO. When it's time to buy in Flower Mound you are the lady to contact, you treat your clients like family.

You are right in your assessment in the true length of a lease, but hopefully people can buy and then live in their homes for the rest of their lives!

Patricia there are very few positives to renting, while there are many positives to owning.  It is better to take advantage of the positives sooner than later.

Patricia what an awesome analogy! I'll always think of birds and renters in the same class.  And for many it makes so much sense to buy a home instead of the uncertainty of renting.  Clever! Clever! Clever!

Patricia Feager What a great post!  It makes so much sense when you think about it.  With rents as high as they are, this is a no brainer.

I love the title of this post.  Congratulations on the feature!

Hi Patricia -- you're so clever. Owning real estate can provide peace of mind for many.  Although it involves proper qualifying on a financial level, the emotional side of life definitely comes into play.
