Hi Michele Connors ,  I love the Cardinals. They are the State bird for Indiana and are around in the Winter.  That red color really stands out against the white snow.

Your Cardinal is a ham! He wants to be the star in your yard, and he is!

For a while this evening I stood in my yard watching a pair of Cardinals.  I spent a minute wondering what they were talking about, what they were thinking or feeling and then my mind moved on to wondering why the male is so much more radiant.  Love your photos.

Michele Connors There is no question that cardinals are so stunningly beautiful. They can be extremely aggressive against other males of their species too. Many times I have had to endure a male cardinal pecking my windows when seeing his reflection.

I don't see Cardinals in northern Cal like we used to see in Minnesota, but I love those birds. So bright and colorful. That first picture, he looks like Robert DeNiro: Are you talking to me?
