Earlier this year I made an attempt to shed those unwanted pounds that I have been toting around to no avail. When I came down with the flue a few weeks back, nothing tasted good. Because nothing seemed to suit my taste buds, I made a decision to eat healthier foods that did suit my pallet and eat smaller portions. The result? I have shed over 14 pounds and I am moving towards my desired weight. I have also cut out coffee, sweets, alcohol most dairy products and a host of other crap. I have started doing Yoga (real men do do Yoga). I plan to talk to a nutritionist next week to get me on a better diet plan - one that will help increase my energy.
Over the past month, I have been looking at myself in the mirror and telling myself that it is time to shed those last stubborn pounds. I firmly believe in the power of the mind and positive affirmations. When one says it and believes it, affirmations do work! So, was it the affirmations or was it just time? I believe that it is a combination of both.
And that my friends, is my 2￠’s worth for this evening.
