What's For Sale in 16th Street Heights? April 2016

By
Real Estate Agent with RLAH Real Estate AB95346

While 16th Street Heights has more inventory than many close-in DC neighborhoods, it's still relatively tight.  There are currently 13 active listings.

The prices range from a low of $629,900 for a 3-bedroom, bath and a half row house on Arkansas Avenue to a high of $1,275,000 for a renovated 6-bedroom 4 1/2 bath detached home on Farragut Street.

The most common homes in 16th Street Heights are row houses with wide front porches. Inside, many still have their original oak parquet floors and interesting woodwork, many similar to the homes built by Harry Wardman.

If you are thinking about a new home in 16th Street Heights, we can arrange a consultation and help you make a plan to make this your next neighborhood. Call or text me at 202-549-5167 or send an email to housepat@mac.com.

Hey Patricia, sure love the style and character of those homes in the pic, but they are sadly out of my retirement pricerange, lol.  Have a great week ahead.

Hi Pat.  Wow!  Those are some lofty prices.  Good luck selling them.

This is a nice snapshot into the 16th Street area. I love those big front porches!

Robert, by DC standards, this is one of the "affordable" neighborhoods!  Glad I bought in the '80s!

Conrad, this is a neighborhood that has really taken off over the past couple of years.

Kat, I live in one of these row houses in a nearby neighborhood.  And the front porch is my favorite thing.  You can see all the way up and down the block!

Hi Pat -- it's always interesting to see market reports from different areas and then read the comments especially about prices.  For the District of Columbia, these seem pretty reasonable.  And yes, those front porches are a very attractive feature.

The homes in 16th Street Heights, Washington  DC would be a great location to own a home.

Good luck and success.

Michael, here in DC, affordable housing is sort of an oxymoron.  And these are indeed in the less un-affordable range.

Lou, the whole area east of Rock Creek Park, formerly unchic, is now getting to be a lot more trendy.
