Bundled Software Suites or A La Carte?

By
Real Estate Technology with FlyerCo

First off, on a personal note, thought I would share the view from my office window. Nice huh? :)

My lovely view
I love South Florida!

Anyways, back to the topic at hand...

I hear alot about various software suites that package all sorts of tools and marketing gimicks into a bundle, and then charge some crazy monthly or annual fee to their customers.

That may be all well and good, but often what I have learned from web development clients of mine, is that often they feel trapped, and locked into using something for year upon year, simply because they have everything tied all together.

The problem is they are often not happy, or feel constrained in some way.

Often is the case that when companies try to package all these tools into one, they miss the opportunity of being great at one service, and settle for mediocrity in providing many.

In my opinion, I find the a la carte option must more satisfying.

Granted I have some tech advantages, but with the advent of API integration, you are able to build your own personal suite of tools, and spend a little time, and perhaps money in having a software developer tie them all together for you in a nice little custom package.

There are an endless amount of $29.99, $39.99, $49,99 etc services out there.

Between 2-4, depending on your needs should do nicely.

I am very curious what everyone else's experience is in utilizing either a one solution package, or utlizing your favorite individual pieces.

What's in your tool kit?

Feel free to post questions and feedback.

I love the engagement on AR!

Sincerely,

Denise

I am VERY happy with my Windows 365 package Denise Amara as then I have all the same stuff on every computer I log into for one small monthly fee and I've found their service is pretty good.

Definitely my productivity suite of choice as well. Especially with the 1TB of cloud storage they provide. You can access all your data from anywhere!

Do you use any software package for your web stuff and online marketing?

Hi Denise Amara thanks to Mimi Foster tagging me I came back. Nope I don't even know what's out there and what they offer.

Hello, Denise! Great post, and so excited to see you getting your feet wet with another blog post!

Being a Mac user, this doesn't make a lot of sense to me. :)

Also, there is a 'glitch' in the AR system (IMHO). When you use the 'comment' button, the person you are replying to is not notified, even when you tag them. They are working on this feature, but Bob "RealMan" Timm may not have seen your comment back to him. (He will, however, see it when I tag him when I POST a comment. Make sense?

LOL. I know some of his tech talk comes across as a foreign language. What I'm referring to though transcends PC or MAC. It's about the other web based productivity tools that one may use to market their business. I'm burned out for the night, but would love to elaborate on this if you have an interest. Let me know!
