I have often said that our best kept secret in Colorado Springs is our moderate climate and 300+ days a year of sunshine. All of that is true - except when it's not. My apple tree exploded with thousands of blossoms this week. We woke to heavy, wet snow this morning. It's not really cold out,
but I don't think the blossoms will understand.

Mimi, I'm always amazed at the variation in weather Colorado can see. I sure hope you don't lose a bunch of apples with this snow. We had an apple tree in the home I grew up in and they were the best apples I've ever had. Nothing like home grown. Your daughter sounds like she's got the right idea ... St. Thomas - how gorgeous.

We moved in last summer and were the recipients of the best crop of apples I've ever had. I had to fight the deer for them, but you're so right, they are delicious!

The sun came out yesterday and I was able to go for a much needed walk. Let's hope that was the last of the 'weather' for the season.
I just went out as the sun was coming up, Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD. Last year we lost most of the crop to the final snow of the season. This year it looks like we may have a bumper crop that escaped the icy fingers of lingering winter!

I sit on the back patio a lot, Roger, and last night I couldn't begin to count the thousands of buds that are still there. I think it may be a bumper crop :)
