 With appreciation rates on the move over the last few years, Buyers have to gauge what they can afford as far as a purchase price and what town they ay move to.  There are still condominiums for sale under 300K in Framingham. You have to ove quickly because this selers market in Framingham and the Metrowest is seeing homes move faster than they have in many years, and at top dollar in most cases. Even in higher price points, homes are still selling fast, when about 5 years ago, those high end homes were sitting for a long time and having very little activity. Its nice to see banking regulations tighten, and they are not watched a ot more closely to avoid giving out loans to everyone now. 

Whether you are buying a home in Framingham, or a condominium under 300K in Framingham, you have the ability to own a property with the loan payments still being small because of such historically low interest rates. These rates luckily are hanging still and have been low for a long time now. At some point , the FED will raise the rates and the cost of borrowing money will not be as cheap. Most of the ones in Framingham are nice too, and are mostly garden style units. There are also some nice duplexes in Framingham, but there are not as many of those on the market., and not many at one time.

Most people buying a condo do not want to deal with doing any maintenance or exterior repairs, which conod associations cover in the fee. There is also master insurance included too. Each complex has a condo association or trust that anages the units and sets the rues and regs for the complex. Some will allow pets, usually cats and only smal dogs. The less lenient ones will not allow dogs, but usually will allow for cats. It really depends on the complex. You must consider if they have 1 or 2 deeded parking spots. They will always have visitor parking for anyone who visits your unit with designated spots.
