Stop & Smell the Roses - Life is short!

Important Things To Do and See!

Is this a boring cliche or a reality check?

Life is short; Stop and smell the Roses

I know you saw this title, and couldn't help but click on it. The topic never disappoints. I was reminded this week that life is short when I heard about the passing of someone that I met when my husband and I first moved into the aOrange County Arboretumrea. He passed suddenly and wasn't much older than my husband. Sudden deaths are always hard on the family and friends as there was no time to prepare. As a long time acquaintenance in business and in temple, his passing reminds me of how at any point in time our days are numbered.

I also found out that a construction person doing work for me had major surgery. That too a surprise and rather terrifying. He is much younger than me.

Life is short and when things get so complicated in life, taking a breather can be a rewarding respite from the drama and stress of everyday life. Take the time to enjoy. In a flash it can all change and everything is gone.

The next time you have a stressful day in real estate remember to take a moment and ... just breathe!

As for me, the sun is shing today and the sky turned a beautiful blue. Spring is finally here in New York and I'm headed out to take photos of the flowers at the Orange County Arboretum. Rumor has it that the tulips are in full bloom right about now. Carpe Diem I say.  Do something to make you smile!

I wish you a beautiful day!

Indeed, in the total scheme of things, Janis, life is short. We all have days when it's hard to smell the roses, but should still be very conscious of making time to do so on a regular basis.

So true. Life is indeed short. Just this week I saw where one of local Realtor members passed away. She was only 62.

Some days are more difficult than others, but all are precious and remembering the bigger picture of today important.

I believe if folks would simplify life and smell the roses more, our days would be less complicated and overwhelming.

Beautiful photo, beautiful sentiments. My daughter lost a 34 year old friend this week who has three children. We are not guaranteed tomorrow. Thanks for this!
