Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) - Wild West Tour
Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) will host a Wild West Tour on Sunday May 8, 2016 at their Indiangrass Preserve. The program starts at 7:00 AM and lasts until 11:00 AM. Here is opportunity for a nature lovers to experience a tour of the KPC preserves that are not usually open to the public.
This Tour will be guided by Glenn Olsen who is a Master Naturalists and who is avid photographer. He will educate attendees about the local flora and fauna. There will be fantastic picture opportunities in the prairie. Texas Wildflowers are in bloom and birds are breeding.
Participants bring to the Tour outdoor clothing including closed shoes and long pants plus a long sleeve shirt. Folks should also bring water, a hat and insect repellant.
The cost is $50.00 per person and the Tour is an Adults Only event. Registration is necessary and can be done here. The Indiangrass Preserve is located at 31950 Hebert RD, Waller TX 77484.
Participants will learn and see many things about the Katy Prairie and its inhabitants. KPC hosts numerous educational events for both adults and children throughout the year.
The KPC Mission is: To preserve an ecologically vital tallgrass prairie and associated wetlands area on Houston's far west side ( including Katy) for the enjoyment and benefit of all.
