Looking beyond it's current state...

The biggest mistake that buyers can make is:

Seeing a home "as-is"... and I don't mean homes on the market that are listed for sale "as-is"... rather I mean buyers unable to see beyond the "as-is" of a home... to be more precise, a large number of buyers are immediately turned off by something as simple as the color of the living room walls... which can be easily changed... or maybe it's the carpet or the applinances... again exchangeable.

Regardless, when buyers see the home strictly "as-is"... without the ability to envision it differently... they do themselves a huge disservice and fall often into the trap of thinking that the home is not right... not for them... simply because of the condition they are currently seeing it in.

When shopping for a home you must learn to see byond it's current state and decor... and imagine what it could look like. Many unfriendly looking houses become simply stunning homes once freshened up with new paint, a little bit of updating... re-decorated.
