Once again we are plagued with tight inventory as much of the country is. It's our job to educate the sellers and show them WHY now is the best time to sell. Many consumers don't like hearing this because it's typically associated with "the agent is just looking to make a sale, of course it's a great time to sell/buy.
If we can prove the "why" with valid market data we will not only educate the public but possibly get some much needed inventory. This is the greatest marketing tool ever! Time to think outside the box, door-knock, put together unique mailings, and spread the word every chance we get.
I had a client that bought a foreclosed home at a great price two years ago. She loved the home and had plans to stay for a while. I routinely sent market data so she could keep up with the prices in her immediate area. After doing some analysis and seeing an uptick in prices, I recommended she sell it. At first she was hesitant but when she saw there was a chance to make $100k after two years, she has decided to sell.
Real estate is an investment and usually the best long-term. I always remind my clients of this.
