Curious? Check out www.Matterport.com and www.We-Get-Around.com to learn more about this revolutionary new tool!

Well, I'm not sure I'll never do another Sunday Open House, after all some sellers are old school and really expect it, but I am certain I will use 3D Virtual Tours on every listing going forward! I love the way you can move from room to room as you wish, and you get the true idea of space if the home is furnished. It's 24/7. It can save you from a lot of unproductive showings and wasting your time. Very cool tool! Try it out like I did!

Personally, I like to look at houses on the Internet first. If I really like it, I would visit an open house or call a Realtor to look at it.

Kathy Smiley I did research on Matterport earlier this year and may still add it as a tool to offer our agents, but for the time being, there are still a few issues that seem to be popping up with the technology. In addition, Google and few other competitors are soon to be coming out with similar systems, hopefully ay a much lower price for the equipment, editing and hosting.

Thanks Libby, Sandy and Norm, for commenting. I agree, Libby, almost every buyer is online (egads, even on the hated Zillow) first!''

Sandy & Norm - I have to tell you I totally researched Matterport too. At first I thought it would be a great tool for the company to own and "lend out" to agents, but honestly it's more of a tool for professional photographers to use, as it's a little more complicated to actually "produce" the tour than it is to just scan the images. That being said, I found a great online community called "we-get-around.com" and I spoke with the founder. For a very small investment, you can join their community, get all kinds of discounts, they'll suggest Matterport photographers in your community, and you'll get hand's-on help with your first few projects. I'M VERY HAPPY SO FAR! The photographer they recommended not only does Matterport, but regular photos AND Drone, as well, so it was a one-stop experience! I love the outcome. Did you get a chance to look at the tours?

Great points Kathy Smiley , We're matterport specialist in the greater San Diego Area and not only have we found that lookie loo traffic is reduced, but quality buyers increase. This is specially true for the mass market price range, first time home price range.
