The 346 townhomes in Runnymeade were built between 1983 and 1987. Ranging from 2,080 to 3,000 square feet, there six floor plans; Alford, Berwick, Darnley, Elgin, Falkirk, and Marlburough. All of the homes are three levels and some have one car garages. The townhomes in Runnymeade feature 2-4 bedrooms, 2-3 full bathrooms and 1-2 half baths.

Kingstowne Towne Center is less than 5 minutes away and home to two grocery stores, Kingstowne 16 Movie Theater, World Market, Home Goods, Panera Bread, Pasara Thai, Bonefish Grill, Bath and Body Works. Runnymeade is also close to Old Town Alexandria and Springfield Town Center both of which have many options for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Hilltop Village Center, home to Wegman’s is less than ten minutes from the neighborhood, many retail and dining options have recently opened in the center and it's a great place to check out. Van Dorn and Franconia Springfield metro stations are easily accessible from the community and there is a bus stop located in the front of the neighborhood that’s in walking distance to all residents. 395, 495, 95, and Fairfax County Parkway are all just minutes away.
