Fishhawk Lake If a Dog Could Be a Boat....

this guy would be it!!

Kathy's Great Dane at Fishhawk Lake-Gayle Rich-Boxman 4.16 Not only is he big enough to be a pontoon, but he sure wanted to float out and join us on ours, or at least boat along beside us! Too bad he's moored ashore. If he only knew that that tiny rope and bit of wood would never hold him back, but he's too polite to risk it.

Is that the most "Can I come with you?" look or what?? This is one of two Great Danes who hold court full time at the first house ever established at Fishhawk Lake. (Actually, he's about as big as the house is, maybe that's why he's outside)!

The rope is smart of them, but you're absolutely right, it would only slow him down. What a cutie!

That pup certainly would not fit into a canoe, or even something as small as a 30 footer.

Hi Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 I think I would have "invited" him to join me. I like big dogs. They are always nice.

Bill Roberts you are so right about big dogs...my 4'11" granny always had Great Danes and she RULED....one of them was named Bismark, probably why I think about them being big as boats!

Oh, but the British sank the Bismark, If I recall correctly.

Gayle, If that precious beast wanted to go in the water ... I cannot imagine anything would stop it.  The Dane is likely very well trained ... and knows better. The look on the face is priceless. Would the Dane fit in your boat?

Sharon Lee normally they would be barking, but if I recall they didn't seem to mind him. Which is a nice change! I love Great Danes, they are usually "leaners" and very sweet.

Kathleen Daniels he most certainly would have fit in our boat...it's the biggest pontoon you can have on the lake. I saw his look and it made me kinda sad that I couldn't go get him and bring him on board. I talked to him, though as we went slowly by.

Gayle,

My grad school advisor professor was a short man.  He would come to campus with his Great Dane.  They made such an amusing duo...the dog was almost up to his shoulders.  A
