Happy Hour Beverage: Peg Leg Imperial Stout from Heavy Seas

Dolores and I tend to prefer dark beers and Peg Leg Imperial Stout from Heavy Seas is one that we recommend to you. This beer is produced by Clipper City Brewing Company in Baltimore, Maryland. If you live in the area or plan a visit, you should plan to tour the brewery and visit the Tap Room.

Heavy Seas Tap Room

"This full-bodied imperial stout pours an opaque mahogany color with a tan head. Its smell is dominated by notes of roasted coffee beans, with a slight hint of chocolate, but Simcoe and Fuggles hops add complexity to the aroma. The roasted barley is detectable in the taste, and this complements the bitterness from the Warrior hops - balancing out the sweetness from the load of malts used in brewing Peg Leg. A creamy mouthfeel makes this a smooth, utterly drinkable beer." - From the website
