Last week we had an experienced and very professional agent from Leavenworth speak at our weekly office meeting. Geordie Romer of Windermere Leavenworth talked about real estate in his area. His service area is not part of the NWMLS (Northwest Multiple Listing Service) but instead, have their own mls. Apparently there are some agents from the Seattle & Eastside areas that go and 'try' to sell homes in Leavenworth and surrounding towns. Geordie has admitted seeing some agents from out of the area try to write an offer... HOLD ON!
Tell me why an agent from a completely different area would try to write an offer to help represent their clients. I know some agents want to be 'full service', but c'mon. Even though I am a licensed agent in the State of Washington does not mean I know all the hills and valleys, wetlands, and gun ranges to help my client purchase a second home, vacation home, investment property or their primary residence. Refer it over to an agent that works the area and knows the real estate market.
I will be referring all my clients that want a cabin or vacation property (or mansion on the lake) in the Leavenworth area to Geordie.
