The Wilton, CT school district has one of the best high schools in Connecticut according to the U.S. News and World Report's 2016 Best High School ranking. Wilton High School is ranked the 7th best high school in the state of CT. The school jumped two spots from 9th place last year.

Weston High School - No. 4
Ridgefield High School - No. 5
Greenwich High School - No. 10
Rankings were based on:
- Student/teacher ratio - Wilton High School has a 14 to 1 student/teacher ratio
- Reading proficiency - 98% of Wilton students are proficient in reading based on state exit exams and AP tests, an internationally available exam
- Math proficiency - 97% of Wilton students are proficient in math based on the same measurement critieria as reading
- College readiness index - College readiness is measured by the participation and passing rate of college-level course work, such as AP exams. 91% of Wilton students who participated in AP exams passed
