Just as many Millennials are digging out from under their student loan debt they are encountering the fact that many markets, including El Paso County / Colorado Springs, are experiencing very low inventory.
They see properties going under contract before they can even get off work to go see them.
Two of the many attributes attributed to Millennials are hope and self-reliance.
Both of these can take a beating in a low inventory market.
More than one Millennial has exercised their self-reliance and bought the wrong house just so they aren’t left out in the frenzy of multiple offers.
There is a better way.
First of all Millennials, there is hope, solid hope, even in a low inventory market.
The secret is to channel your self-reliance into collaborating with a veteran broker who knows how to:
# 1 Work with you to find the right house, and
# 2 Who has the strategies to help you be the buyer who gets it under contract.
The best value is rarely the perfectly decorated house that everyone else is chasing.
Remember, when the sellers' decor walks out the door, all houses have bare walls.
The best value is often the house that other buyers are overlooking because of the paint or carpet colors. Those are easy to change.
I encourage buyers to join me for a “test drive” look at a few houses. There is no obligation.
The result is typically “Wow, we didn’t know all that.”
Buyers are encouraged when they discover that they can find a good house even in a low inventory market.
