The secret to a succesful career? GO AWAY!

Of course it happens like this, I am getting ready to leave my beautfiul home in Brentwood California and all the places I love, Bethel Island, Oakley, Discovery Bay, for Mystic Connecticut so the Mr. can interview for a postition with a company he has been repping for for years. And wouldn't you know it??? I have two offers that have been approved, and two buyers wanting to write offers, two renters that are hot to go NOW and my Blackberry is on the fritz.

My JustListed.com account has more activity than ever on it and I am so grateful, but am afraid to leave 'cause I don't want to miss anything. But I need a bit of a vacation....

How do you find someone you can trust to help you with your business? I am new to my office and while I love it there, don't know anyone. So I have hired a transaction coordinator (in Idaho), and am confident she will do a great job. How do I tell my clients that things will be fine and I am only a phone call away and that they can trust that I will be on top of it. They are all so scared, and rightfully so I think as I have seen many deals fall apart at the last hour.

So do I pretend to be into all the fun stuff I want to do or do I let my head stay here and be eternally connected to my Blackberry? I don't think clients have any idea how we obsess over this, how much we take all of this personally....

Help! Somebody give me permission to relax! Thanks

Cathy, take time to relax. Life is too short not to. Find trusted assistants you can rely on to take your place when you are out. They are there. None of us are indispensable.

Almost every time I go away business goes crazy, maybe we just need to take more vacations!! But seriously, you need time off to rejuvenate. I must admit I have not heard of a "Transaction Coordinator" how does that work exactly?
