Chandler, AZ Celebrates International Museum Day on May 18 w/ Selfies!

This Monday, May 9, Chandler, AZ Mayor Jay Tibshraeny declared May 18, 2016 as International Museum Day, highlighting Chandler Museum's month-long participation with thousands of museums all over the world in bringing recognition to local museums and their cultural contributions to their respective communities.

During International Museum Day, traveling exhibits will be on display at several locations which include Chandler City Hall, Downtown Chandler Public Library and the outside of Chandler Museum. And if you plan to visit Chandler Museum on this day, there's an  “I Love Museums” sign you can print for selfies! Share your thoughts on why you love museums on your selfie then add it to a wall collage of statements from others in the community.

The Chandler Museum is located at the historic McCullough-Price House at 300 S. Chandler Village Drive. Exhibits are open to the public from Tuesdays to Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Admission is always free!
