Active Rain’s Republican Spellchecker

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Daytona Condo Realty, 386-405-4408

I was going over Richie’s post and commented about Trump, and used a spellchecker to fix numerous mistypes, and noticed something very interesting. When you type “Obama” and use a spellchecker, it would not recognize the word and underline it in red.Trump Tower USA

But try to type “Trump” and the spellchecker has no problem with it. It knows Trump.

It gotta be seriously republican…

It endorses Trump.

You have a better explanation?

Well, I don’t :)

Thats one way of looking at it Jon, surprising that they have it set up that way.

One thing for sure Obama is not getting any votes this time around, must be the spell checker...

Hi Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL Did you notice that your own name gets underlined as well? Did I just trump you?

Endre Barath, Jr. - it is not written for business, so it does not bother me. It's worth the fun, so that I do not worry about business

Bill Roberts - that does not surprise me. I am not pretending to be a public person, so my name not reconized is rather normal. Obama's name underlined is also normal, but spellchecker "knowing" Trump is extraordinary... and it is very funny :)

Well Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL I guess you can chalk this up to English as a Second Language. You do know that "trump" is a word in our language, don't you? Or are you pulling my leg?

Hi Jon - Interesting find. It's reassuring that to some extent, at least the AR spell checker is maintaining a show of neutrality by recognizing Clinton.

Dick Greenberg - oh, interesting. I did not check any other president's name, and I did not know it reciognizes Clinton.

So, our spellchecker is following political trend and recognizes leading candidates from both parties... wow.

But it does not recognize sitting President... Maybe he needs to get up and do something to become recognized?

Bill Roberts - I do, I reread, but it was, probably, too subtle for me :) Interesting idea: trump Mr. Trump... Just playing with words, which I rarely know :)
