My husband, Forrest, often asks how they keep their jobs on radio and TV, when meterologists are often wrong about weather forecasts in Eastchester, NY 10709 & beyond!
First, our house is for sale and there was a rainy, dreary forecast for this whole weekend, plus a record breaking cool down. REALLY? It's sunny and beautiful in Fleetwood, NY today, just south of Bronxville and north of NYC.
Our lovely, renovated colonial home has been listed for 3 weeks with our supersonic realtor, Lucille, but no offers yet. We think it's partly due to an actual raining weekend -- last one -- and this forecasted Saturday. The doom and gloom here was filled with T-storms and colder temps.
Our traffic has been slow for a "hot Spring" real estate market that was also predicted. Can I just say, "hot damn!" At least we are a bit busy at work, during our April to June "slow down," each year.
Plus, our company is somewhat weather driven and I am working on writing for our blogs on Servproscarsdalemountvernon.com and our pro website as well as a screenplay.
I'd planned on a rainy day in our office, writing vs. the gorgous, sunny weather out our windows in this historic 120 year old home.
At least some friends came over for a bit, to brighten this non-stormy Saturday, even if they are not in the market to buy a new home!
Grrr, so a stormy forecast kept buyers from looking at homes because that's how New Yorkers roll. We are weather driven and plan around it. So, if you know anyone who wants a mother/daughter or extended family home...or has a flood, fire or mold issue we can clean this weekend, let us know. We're freed up today to
1) show the house if Lucille calls us with buyers who want to come by; or,
2) to clean yours (home or business)
Cheers and I'll be the one doing a sundance for Sunday and go see our horse, Krys...
...while HOPEFULLY, some buyers come by!
