
The 39th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival is presented by the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. The mission of the Atlanta Jazz Festival is to educate and entertain a diverse audience of jazz fans and to nurture the next generation of jazz musicians. There will be 31 Days of Jazz in May, culminating with three days of music in Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta over Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29, 2016.
This May we invite people to get out and explore our city during the 39th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival’s 31 Days of Jazz,” says Camille Russell Love, Executive Director of the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. “Walk, ride your bike, jump on the Streetcar, take MARTA, or come into the city from OTP to explore Atlanta’s beautiful neighborhood parks, hottest clubs, multi-cultural restaurants, and diverse museums. We’ve got something going on every day in May featuring incredible jazz musicians.
The 39th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival season kicks off with jazz events every single day of May leading up to the annual festival Memorial Day weekend in Piedmont Park. From MARTA stations, to museums, jazz clubs, restaurants, and local neighborhood parks, the 31 Days of Jazz provides a little something for everyone.
The Memorial Day Weekend festival which includes international, national and local musicians live on three stages; a Kid Zone with activities for all ages; food vendors offering BBQ, burgers, salads, Caribbean foods and much more; booths with clothing, art and jewelry!
This Memorial Day Weekend you can experience the Atlanta Jazz Festival on a whole new level, in The Lounge. Chill in a private tent near the Main Stage, enjoy a delicious meal of Cajun food, sliders or BBQ, get two free drinks and access to your own bar. Share the fun with your friends with snaps from the fabulous photo booth. And to make your festival experience even more convenient, you’ll have access to a nice restroom.
The Lounge at the Atlanta Jazz Festival will be located near the intersection of 10th Street and Monroe Drive, on the meadow. Tickets are $75 per day, or $130 for both days if purchased online in advance.
