The Most Expensive Home sold in Arizona last week - 5/17/16

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Zion Realty

It's only happened a few times in this weekly blog series but last week it happened again. The most expensive home that sold in Arizona last week was a $3.9 million dollar new build property in Paradise Valley, however, neither the sellers nor the listing agent provided much information about the property and uploaded only one exterior photo. Lack of intriguing facts, figures, and photos certainly doesn't make for a good blog post so I'm defaulting this week to the most expensive home that sold in my own town of Gilbert, Arizona last week. A Tuscan style luxury property was sold for $935,000 in the custom neighborhood of Weston Ranch. Quintessential to the area the exterior is comprised of stone and stucco with additional decorative columns aligning the entry way. Traditional low-maintenance desertcape landscaping and a pavered driveway was installed in the front yard. Meanwhile, the backyard boasts of a synthetic turf volleyball court and playground along with a covered barbecue entertainment area. The large sparkling pool has a walk-over bridge and waterfall grotto where kids and adults will spend endless hot Summer afternoons splashing, diving, and playing.

The interior of this luxury residence is fresh and modern. The combination of white cabinets and built-in bookshelves, gray walls, and brown wood-look tile flooring blend expertly together. The spacious kitchen has every convenience an at-home chef desires and the Master Bedroom features it's own separate sitting area. Guests and extended family will find themselves right at home in the fully furnished one bedroom guest casita with small kitchenette. Hi Nicole - It may not be the most expensive but - other than that one room with the wallpaper - it's a wonderfully done home, and I wouldn't have been surprised to see a higher price tag on it.

$935,000 isn't a bad price tag either Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert . Hope you are the one to sell it.

Hi Nicole, nice home, love the outdoor area of this Gilbert home. The room with the wallpaper doesn't seem to fit the rest of the home.

That is a SWEET yard & pool area & I loved the dining room shots, too.  Not a bad place at all - like others, I could do without the wallpaper room!

Nicole the size of this home is deceiving from the outside, it does not look to be 4,608 square feet.

James - That was the actual most expensive home in Arizona. The Gilbert house I highlighted was only 935k.

Dick - High-end homes in Gilbert are a lot more functional than those in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale.

Bob - Not this one but I do have a million dollar listing I just made active today in Paradise Valley.

Alexandra - Well shoot, you've got to tell me next time. I would have loved to grab some time with you!

Beth - I agree. But other than that it's a great home.

John - I only live a few miles from Weston Ranch. It's a nice neighborhood.

Alan - Gilbert had definitely changed over the years.

Amanda - That is a pretty good price for that home and location in Gilbert.

George - I think it looks much smaller from the outside.

Lou - I'm sure the new owners are thrilled.

VB - It's fun to share these every week.

Endre - You probably could have gotten that home for half that price in 2011.

Hi Nicole - from the front it doesn't look  that big.  Maybe that's why it was only 3.9 million.

Hi Nicole -- there is a lot to like about this home -- it certainly looks like a very good floor plan with good indoor-outdoor flow and high ceilings.

It is amazing that a home close to 4.0 million dollars would only have one photo while the one you showcased had over 70.   Interesting marketing but I guessed it worked.
