I have found that as a Loan Officer we are sales people above everything. I work hard on being as helpful and as useful as possible to my clients, builders and agents. I have tried to marketing for business many different ways, newspapers or magazine ads and even television. I have invested quite a bit of money into marketing in the last 12 months. The one thing that has always been the most effective is working with Realtors. A Realtor is looking for the next buyer just like you and me and they want to close the loan just as bad as you do. I feel like if I keep my agents happy then they will continue to send me business. If I show that I close there loans in a timely manner and give them outstanding service that they need and I know that my work speaks for itself......... I branched out on my own and opened up an office and was only working with one Real Estate Agent and now in only 2 years I work with over 25 Agents that I work with in and out of Houston TX.....
I have my own theory on this... What I do is focus my energy on the loans that I have currently in the pipeline. I mean that I work diligently on the one loan that "My network of Agents" has sent me... I focus on them and keep them informed so they don't have to call to check on the loan and make sure to close early or on time at all costs. Some times if there is a change or a problem. I make sure to call right away and explain and go over the solution that I feel that would be best suited for the buyer. I know that it seems like a very plain and simple way of doing business, but it really works!!!!! My work and dedication show in the service that we provide. In this business there is only one thing that separates one Mortgage or Realtor from the rest "the Service that you provide". So that being said the best way to Market your-self is just Be Yourself and deliver on what you say, be honest, and earn peoples Business and you will succeed in the end...
I attend the closing and the listing agents are happy and the buyer's agents are happy and I hand out business cards and I have gained many agents trust in the process.
My faith in God has been a integral part in my success.... I give God thanks for all of the many blessings that we receive every day..... Even in this tough market God has been there and business is good still...........
