Services for Real Estate Pros with White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery #1852

The Book of Golden Deeds Award is the longest running award for the Exchange Club of Vero Beach. On May 4th of 2016, the group presented its 47th annual award to Mr. Phil DeLange. This distinguished award recognizes individuals who give endless hours of their time and talents towards helping others. At the event, past winners dating as far back as 1969 were in attendance along with current members and speakers to help bring to life how deserving of this award Mr. DeLange and his businesses truly are.

From the Buggy Bunch, Executive Direct Kelly Sartain, spoke about the many ways Mr. DeLange has helped their Christian based non-profit from assisting with moving and storage each year to the offering of the warehouse space for the annual diaper drive to serve underprivileged families in need of diapers for their babies and toddlers. She also gave great example of how much trust she has in the businesses Phil DeLange runs and how she uses their services exclusively when it comes to moving and shipping her family's goods.

Rhonda Blakey of the Treasure Coast Food Bank went into great detail the need for hunger awareness  in our community and how White Glove Moving & Storage is quick to step up to organize annual food drives in the summer and holiday months. However, her greatest compliment came from Phil's team's endless contributions to the food bank throughout the year as Move for Hunger movers. In this program free boxes are given to each family at the time of their free estimate and then taking those boxes full of non-perishable items and store them at their secure facility until time for delivery.

Lastly, Pam Proctor of the Military Mom's Prayer Group along with Robbie Bergquist of Cell Phones for Soldiers inspired the crowd with how meaningful it is to participate in their annual Holidays for Hero’s campaign and the important role Pak Mail Beachside, owned by Phil DeLange plays in its success. From the donation of space for the box stuffing to the hosting of the boxes at their retail storefront, DeLange's business allows residents the ability to participate in showing support to our troops serving abroad. Additionally, Pak Mail Beachside is a drop off location for old cell phones that get shipped to Cell Phones for Soldiers quarterly allowing them to use these phones for precious metals and converting that cash into calling cards which are then filled in the boxes 3x's a year through the Military Mom's Prayer Group's 4th of July, Christmas and Valentine's initiatives.

Humbled and appreciative, Mr. DeLange thanked his team and the community for the many opportunities to give back and perform his Christian duty of goodwill to men.  The plaque hangs proudly in Mr. DeLange's office and is an ongoing reminder of how special a place Indian River County is to call home
