Graduation Weekend at the Nations Top Forestry School, University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.

This weekend another group of enthusiastic Forestry and Natural Resource students graduate and will be heading out to save the world, or at least make it run a little better.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources is widely regarded as the nation’s leading undergraduate natural resource program.
The program at UWSP owes much of its success to a hands on approach to learning all aspects of the resource, not just forestry, not just wildlife, not just soils, not just water resources, but an interdisciplinary approach to all of the things that make the world go round.
In my younger days while traveling the country, everywhere I went I found forestry employers knew about Point grads and were anxious to hire us, because they knew that we would get the job done and get it done right.
So far the College of Natural Resources at UWSP has over 10,000 alumni, scattered throughout the world doing important work to keep the earth healthy
Not only are UWSP graduates scattered all over, but there are even a few working for Woodland Management Service in Central Wisconsin, folks like Bob Crane, Jesse Kulesa, Pat Kamin, and Nick Crane
