Our beaches in Bonita Springs are quite nice and only a short ride from I75 at Bonita Beach Road.
As a matter of fact, Barefoot Beach in wonderful Bonita Springs was rated the number TWO beach in the COUNTRY. Think about how many beaches there are throughout the country and our Bonita Springs has the number two beach, impressive to say the least.
One of, if not the only issue with Bonita Springs beaches is the parking. It is extemely difficult to find a free parking spot in any of the many off street areas designed for us beach goers and lovers. There is usually parking available in the pay areas and if you are a frequent beach use, I suggest purchasing a beach parking pass. This pass will cost you 60.00 annually and can be used at any Lee County parking area. Otherwise if you are an infrequent beach goer, you can pay a few bucks on the spot when
utilizing the pay parking areas.
I usually drive slowly on Hickory Blvd. on the off chance I can find free parking (like monopoly) but with more value. Sometimes I get lucky and find a empty parking spot, more often than not I pay the few bucks for a spot or pay the 8.00 to spend time at Barefoot Beach.
