Crush Eleven is the sister restaurant to The Fat Snook in Cocoa Beach. These two restaurants are on the upper end of the dining scale in Brevard County. I had heard a lot of buzz about Crush Eleven and recently I helped the general manager, Chris, buy a new home. So, my friend Angela and I went in to see what all the talk was about. We were not disappointed. Our servers name was Nathan, and in my opinion, if your server
can explain, in detail, how your meal will be prepared the way that Nathan did, that is a very good indication of the type of dining experience you will be having. Nathan was not only well versed on the menu at Crush Eleven, but he helped my us make great choices.
We each enjoyed a glass of wine while we studied our menus. We started with an order of the green bean fries which was served with a smoked paprika aioli. The green beans were prepared tempura style and the smokey aioli as a great addition to the light crispiness of the beans. We also tried the Kale Chips which were served with a side of Sambal aioli.
For dinner I ordered the Sambal marinated flat iron steak which was served on fingerling potatoes that were smashed together with fresh creamy avocado. I was as intrigued by the potato-avocado combination as much as the steak. I absolutely love the flavor of Sambal and the marinated flat iron steak was served medium rare and was sliced across the grain. Yum! My friend ordered the Fresh Catch which was Mahi-Mahi. The fish was so incredibly fresh that it actually tasted a bit sweet! Angela's pan fried filet was served on top of a risotta cake with a rich reduction sauce drizzled on the plate. Needless to say we both enjoyed our meals!
We left Crush Eleven quite happy and with our tummy's full. I wholeheartedly recommend Crush Eleven in Cocoa Village when you are looking for a night out with great food! I have been told that they have an outstanding Sunday Brunch, so I am looking forward to trying that in the not so distant future. Crush Eleven is located at:
